Melaka
This charming city is a UNESCO world heritage site, rich with heritage buildings, ancient landmarks and colonial structures. It is here that the colonial forces first made contact with Malaysia, which eventually shaped the country into its current economic and politic system. You still can see, today, the imprints of British, Dutch and Portuguese left behind in forts museums, churches.

This quaint city with an abundance of breathtaking sights and rich heritage is easy to get around by foot to explore the many places that make it unique. As the unofficcial historic capital of Malaysia, Malacca's most prominent contribution to the Malaysian cultural landscape is the Baba-Nyonya or Peranakan culture.

Processing an eclectic blend of customs tradition, food and lifestyle, the Peranakan still thrives in Malaccca with a mix of old and new with historical buildings standing side by side with ultra modern shopping centers.
